On the hostile alien world of Hoxxes IV, a planet rich in precious minerals but teeming with dangerous creatures, an intergalactic mining corporation known as Deep Rock Galactic sends teams of dwarven miners into the planet's deepest cave systems. These veteran space miners must descend into procedurally shifting underground networks to extract valuable resources while contending with swarms of hostile alien life and treacherous environmental hazards. Each mission takes the miners further from safety, requiring them to work together using specialized equipment and heavy weaponry to survive long enough to complete their objectives and reach the extraction point.
