Long ago, in the age of mythology, the once glorious "Dragon Clan" split into two factions, the White Dragon and the Black Dragon, and a fierce battle began. The clash between the giant dragons caused natural catastrophes, devastating the world and wiping out countless lives. Eventually, the fighting came to an end thanks to the efforts of one brave young man, and the Dragon Clan quietly vanished... This "Battle between the White Dragon and the Black Dragon" is passed down as a legend. The "Insidia Empire" used its overwhelming military might to subjugate many nations and rapidly expand its influence toward world unification through force. One day, the protagonist's hometown, Dragneel Village, is attacked by the Imperial Army, and the village is engulfed in flames. The protagonist rescues injured survivors from the burning village.
