You are a newly assigned agent to the secretive underground hacking organisation known as "Uplink". Their motives are neutral, and have hackers that aid the unsuspecting world, and the morally bankrupt that only desire money and power over the people. Eventually a string of unusual hiring practices are made my the Andromeda Research Corporation (ARC), and the story unfolds.
